The Canadian Climate Forum (the Forum) would like to thank its event partners Arctic21, the WWF - Global Arctic Programme, Ambassador Bruce Heyman and the Embassy of the United States for their generous support. Thank you to those who joined us on Earth Day 2015 for the ‘science of the issues’ event addressing the changing climate underway in the Arctic. The event came days before Ministers gathered in Iqaluit to mark the transition of the two year Chairmanship of the Arctic Council from Canada to the United States of America. The event explored the serious impacts of climate change in the Arctic, as well as opportunities arising from these changes. World renowned experts addressed the most current Arctic research, weaving perspectives rooted in human interest with impacts on ecosystems, local and Indigenous peoples and the economy - all of which have global implications.
